The best relationships that we build, the ones that propel us forward both personally and professionally, often develop in the most unexpected ways.
In January, I was in the audience to hear a speaker. The speaker began his presentation by showing a video about himself. About 5 seconds in, I was hooked. I needed to know who did that video—and I needed to know it immediately. I would not be denied.
When I found out that it was Rebel Pilgrim, I got Joe’s name and stalked him, er, tracked him down and said with great confidence, “I need to know you and you need to know me.” Sure, it was risky—one of those moves that could have ended with a restraining order, but lucky for me, Joe was intrigued enough to pull the team together. Can you say “kaboom?”
I knew that they would “get” me and that I would “get” them—and that together we could bring much good to the world. Most of us meet a lot of good folks in our professional and in our personal lives. But if you are lucky, you get some “kabooms.” This video is the result of one such explosion. (And it might just be the motivation you need to find career happiness.) Enjoy!
