Sam Ciurdar was born kind of "outside of the box.” Where others may see a wall or a dead end, Sam is able to see through them with X-ray vision—like Superman, but the filmmaker version. He prides himself on being able to do much with very little. Sam is resourceful and creative and thrives well under pressure. Sam is three for three in the festival circuit as well. Two of which had no budget, and the third—a $700 budget—ended up taking the “Grand Prize” award at a festival, beating out a Ron Howard produced short film directed by his daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard. Sam also loves photography and uses that to keep his creative juices going when he is not directing.
